Desoxidation in an ultrasonic station
The board is removed and cleaned in an ultrasonic bath with specific solvents that strip corrosion down into the micro-vias. Oxidized components (coils, capacitors) are replaced one by one under a microscope. The faster the intervention, the less the corrosion.
Precision micro-soldering
Under a stereo microscope and hot-air station, we repair cut traces, replace power circuits (PMIC), charge connectors and blown components. Micro-soldering can bring a board back to life just enough to extract the data.
Processor transplant (CPU swap)
When the board is too damaged, we desolder the processor and its memory (which, on iPhone, form an inseparable cryptographic pair) to transplant them onto a donor board of the same model. Extreme micro-soldering, behind our most spectacular recoveries.
Secure Enclave chain of trust
On iPhone, data is encrypted and bound to the Secure Enclave. The processor and memory can't be separated without losing the key. We preserve this pair through any operation; decryption requires a working device and the user's passcode.
FBE encryption, eMMC & UFS
On Android (Samsung Knox, File-Based Encryption), we repair the board or read the eMMC / UFS memory directly. Depending on model and version, unlocking requires the PIN or pattern. Chip-off is possible on some chips.

What you must never do to a failing phone
- Power on or charge a wet phone — electricity speeds up corrosion and can destroy everything.
- Put it in rice — ineffective; corrosion continues inside.
- Shake it to "get the water out" — water spreads to still-healthy areas.
- Keep trying to start it — each attempt on a damaged board worsens the shorts.
- Hand it to a "screen" repair shop with no care for the data — clumsy disassembly can damage the board.
The golden rule: power the phone off, don't charge it, and hand it over quickly. For water, the under-48h window makes a real difference.
